Srushti is preparing to take her UPSC test in her third year of engineering studies. She wondered if engineering was the best career choice for her. Then, she realized that her passion was in civil service and started to focus on this. The parents of her encouraged her to prepare for civil services and pursue it a profession serving the public. She did not lose motivation, and remained focused solely at her dream to become an IAS. Achieving UPSC is a lot of work. When she was studying engineering courses She also had to study for various subjects at UPSC. The exam preparation took up the entire day. She spent only one month preparing for the exam and was off Facebook and other social media in her lives. She is convinced that focus is the most important factor to succeed in the exam of government and becoming an officer in the civil service. She worked hard to ensure she passed the test in her first attempt. Daily, she would read the newspaper to keep abreast of the latest news.
